Exit option (effective from 2022)

It is proposed that students of five-year IPG offering dual degrees of Bachelor of Technology  (B.Tech) and Master of Technology (M. Tech) /MBA have the option of lateral exit at the end of the third-year of the programme and may exit with a B.Tech degree from the IPG programme after completing 4 year and clear all the courses.

The exit option will be operationalized through following rules:

• Students will exercise their choice at the end of the third year of the IPG programme.
• A student having CGPA of 7 and above in the 10-point scale will be eligible for lateral exit option.
• A student has to earn and fulfill minimum credit requirements specified for the B. Tech programme in (IT).
• A student has to complete all the requirements related with BTP, industrial/summer training and final project as specified for a B. Tech programme.
• A duly constituted committee will review all the applications submitted for the choice of exit option in the IPG programme and take decision on a student’s application. Committee’s recommendations will be forwarded to Chairperson Academic Senate for final approval.
• The exit option may be exercised by the students completing 4 years in 2023 and the applications may invited by July 2022.
